The purpose of this website is to educate the visitors on the famous case of Brown V. Board of Education that took place in 1954. Linda Brown was a third grader that attended school, however she had to go through many transportation just to get there. There was an elementary school just six blocks away from where Linda's parents lived, but that was an "All White Elementary School." Of course, back in that day, blacks and whites were seperated, whether it would be the water fountains, the library, or anything public. So Linda's father, Oliver Brown, and thirteen other parents decided to enroll their students to the "All White Elementary School" but were denied because they were colored. So Oliver and the thirteen other parents decided to open a lawsuit against the Topeka Board of Education, and since Oliver Brown was listed first, so the case was named after him
